About ACApolicyHub

I am the person you reach when Affordable Care Act coverage stops making sense. Here is how I work and what you can expect once you send your details.

The person behind the site

Health Coverage Explained Without the Rush

I built ACApolicyHub because too many households were choosing a health plan from a column of monthly prices and hoping for the best. A premium on its own tells you very little. What matters is the deductible sitting behind it, whether your doctor is inside the network, and what the bill looks like in the week you actually need care.

So I slowed the whole thing down. You tell me who lives in your household, what you expect to earn this year, and which doctors or medicines you would rather keep. I read the plans offered where you live and put them into plain language, with the real costs of each one set side by side.

Nothing here runs on autopilot. When you send a question, I am the one who writes back. When you enroll, I am the one watching the closing date with you, so a plan you chose carefully does not slip away over a missed step.

You never have to take my word for any figure. I show you where each number comes from and what it would mean for your household, then I step back. The plan you end up with is the plan you picked.

How I read a plan

Three Things I Keep in View for You

Your household, not a profile

Ages, who visits a doctor most often and what the coming year is likely to hold all shape which plan fits. I begin there rather than with a list of prices.

The cost that arrives later

Deductibles, copays and the yearly cap on what you pay decide what a plan truly costs. I set those next to the monthly figure so you can weigh both at once.

The windows that close

Enrollment opens and shuts on set dates, and a change at home can open a window of its own. I flag the one that applies to you long before it runs out.

Bring Me the Part That Is Confusing You

Send the piece you keep getting stuck on, whether that is an income estimate, a network list or a deadline you are not sure applies to you.
